Working with happy couples is always a pleasure, but working with happy couples and happy colors makes the whole wedding day come alive through pictures. That's why I am so HAPPY to share these photos from one of my fav photographers, Melissa McClure Photography, of one of my favorite color combinations this season. The wedding was held at the San Diego Botanical Gardens and was coordinated by Courtney Tibbets and her girls of After the Engagement (another fav).

Sneak Peak...
Here are a few photos that I stole from Facebook of the wedding I did at the ZLAC Rowing Club on October 16th. The venue was adorable, very "Men's Lodge-y". It had a distinguished feel with the wood paneled walls and the fireplace with the dark mantel. VERY CUTE!!! The guinea feathers that I used in the centerpieces and the brides bouquet really brought out that manly feel while still being elegant and very feminine. I loved every bit of it!!!
Plus the bride was such a sweetheart and such a pleasure to work with. I was very honored to be part of her and her new husbands day.
The flowers we used were: ruby red gerber daisies, white gerber daisies, red calla lilies, red "freedom" roses, white roses, white stephanotis (in the brides bouquet only) and guinea feathers as the black and white accent. Black and white polka dots were the mini theme of the wedding and everything tied together perfectly. Daniela you did a great job with all the small details, very impressive!!!
I can't wait to see the Professional photos :)

Well I got the PRO pics from the bride of the Rancho Bernardo Inn wedding and here are a few; to see all of them click here. I was also the coordinator for this wedding and had such a wonderful time working with Lindsay and Adam and their families. These pictures are courtesy of Avery Helm and he also was a pleasure to work with.
Thank you to everyone who I met at the Rhine/Petersen wedding!!!

Looking Forward

This is my first blog so bear with me...I have created this blog to share my work with everyone. I have finally decided that I am going to concentrate full time on floral design with an emphasis on weddings. This has been a dream of mine for a long time and I don't want to pass this up. I will be posting pictures of my work on this blog and would love your feedback and referrals.
This piece is a sample bouquet that I made for a bride who is getting married on May 10th. The ceremony will be at the Greek Orthodox Church and the reception will be at the El Cortez!!! I am very excited to work at the El Cortez and can't wait. In regards to this bouquet, it is a classic hand tied bouquet made from green cymbidium orchids (my current favorite flower), magenta roses, peach/orange roses, dark purple ranunculus, light blush ranunculus, pinkish purple fressia and accents of green coffee bean. The freesia made the bouquet smell absolutely divine, they are much more fragrant than roses. It was wrapped in hot pink chiffon ribbon and pinned with pearl straight pins. I loved loved loved the dynamic contrast of colors. I think that all the colors popped and would be gorgeous with almost any color dress. I wish I could have kept it because it was just sooo pretty but I had to give it up :(. Needless to say, I got the job and am very excited to work on this wedding.
I will continue to post my work and hope that everyone enjoys it.
thanks, Sally :)
